In short: Cerro Arriba collects nothing. Every part of the game — your shift stars, your streak, your maquinista card, your settings — stays on your device. There is no account, no server, and no tracking of any kind.
What this app does not do
- It does not create an account or ask you to sign in.
- It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking software of any kind.
- It does not send your activity, your progress or any identifier to us or to anyone else.
- It does not require an internet connection. Cerro Arriba works fully offline.
What is stored, and where
Cerro Arriba keeps a small amount of information so your progress is there the next time you open the app. All of it is saved locally on your device only, using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. None of it ever leaves your phone or tablet.
- Shift progress: stars earned, best motor and balance scores, and which shifts you've cleared, for every line.
- Streak and daily play: which days you've played Today's Shift, to keep your streak.
- Stamps: the small set of in-game achievements you've unlocked.
- Maquinista card: the name you give your machinist, and an optional portrait photo.
- Settings: your sound, music, haptics and reminder preferences.
Camera and photo library
If you choose to add a portrait to your maquinista card, the app asks for permission to use the camera or your photo library — only at that moment, and only for that purpose. The photo you choose is resized and stored on your device; it is never uploaded anywhere. If you share a shift result card and choose to save it, the app may ask for permission to add that image to your photo library.
Notifications
Cerro Arriba can remind you, once a day, that a new Today's Shift is waiting. This reminder is entirely optional, is scheduled locally on your device, and the app only asks for notification permission the moment you turn it on in Settings.
Children
Cerro Arriba is a general-audience puzzle game. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever needs to change — for example, if a future update adds a feature that stores something new — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
